KNIGHT NAMED A-10 DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

RICHMOND, Va. – VCU senior middle blocker Jasmine Knight (Phoenix, Ariz.) has been named Atlantic 10 Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. It’s Knight’s second Defensive Player of the Week honor this season. The Phoenix, Ariz. native averaged 2.38 blocks per set in a pair of VCU victories at George Washington over the weekend. She tied a career-high with 11 blocks in Sunday’s sweep of the Revolutionaries. Additionally, Knight averaged 2.88 kills per set and hit .340 for the Black and Gold in those two victories.
