Local runners put on a strong showing at the state cross country meet in Round Rock, Texas. While no local runners captured any medals, there were plenty of solid performances. The Wakeland boys finished just off the medal stand, placing fourth in the 5A boys team competition. The Lovejoy girls swept the competition, winning the team championship. Overall, it was an exciting meet with impressive performances from athletes across the state.
