Madison Ranalli, a player from Utica University’s field hockey team, has been named the Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Year along with earning All-Empire 8 First Team honors. Ranalli broke her own record by achieving 17 defensive saves, securing her position as the national leader in defensive saves. Alyssa Pisano, Mackenzie Mix, and Nicole Servider were also recognized as All-Empire 8 selections, with Pisano leading the team with 30 points and Mix showcasing her speed on the field. Additionally, Emily Frank received the Empire 8 Sportswoman of the Year award, recognizing her integrity and sportsmanship.
