The SUNY Cortland women’s soccer team will be participating in the NCAA Division III tournament for the 15th time. The Red Dragons will face John Carroll University in the first round on Saturday. Cortland earned an NCAA automatic berth after winning the SUNYAC championship, and they are headed to the playoffs for the third time in four seasons. The regional champion will advance to the four-team sectional tournament, with the goal of reaching the NCAA semifinals and finals in November and December. Cortland previously won the NCAA Division III championship in 1992.
