Top 10 Texas boys basketball players in Class of 2024
3. Jared Harris, G, Silsbee
A dynamic player in the backcourt, Harris was one of the top players in all of Texas as a junior. During the year, Harris averaged 18.4 points for a 26-13 Tigers team that went a perfect 12-0 in district play, earning himself a share of District 19-4A Most Valuable Player honors and a spot on the Class 4A all-state team.
Given his ability to score at a high clip, the 6-foot-3 guard has earned praise from scouts including being ranked as high as the No. 4 player in the state by 247Sports and the No. 80 player in the nation by ESPN. Harris earned 26 D-I offers from programs such as Arkansas, Auburn, Houston, Kansas, TCU, Texas and Texas A&M, but he ultimately committed to Memphis on Sept. 11.
