Head Coach John Spinney and Freshman Emma Sicking of the Mount St. Joseph University women’s volleyball team have earned major awards in the 2023 season. Spinney was named the HCAC Coach of the Year, while Sicking won HCAC Newcomer of the Year. Additionally, four players from the team, Erin Androne, Jasmine Butler, McKenzee Wagener, and Grace Young, received 1st Team All-HCAC Honors. The team has a strong 23-1 record and is ranked #14 in the country. With the regular season HCAC championship in the bag, Spinney and the team are aiming for a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
