Women’s Volleyball: Hawks Season Ends in CCC First Round
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Roger Williams University women’s volleyball team saw their season come to a close Tuesday evening, falling to Western New England, 3-0 (25-14, 25-21, 26-24), in Springfield. The Hawks hit, .144, while holding the Golden Bears to a .171 hitting percentage in the match. The Hawks trailed in kills, 32-30, as well as assists, 29-25, but led in digs, 53-47, and blocks, 4-1. Marianna Hernandez led the team with 15 digs, with Kaylee Jackson (Naugatuck, Conn.) and Ava Mattiucci (North Kingstown, R.I.) following with 12 and 10 respectively.
