10 best NBA players to ever come out of New York City
4. Dolph Schayes, PF/C (New York)
Schayes was among the biggest NBA stars of the 1950s. The 6-foot-8 New York native made 12 All-NBA teams with the Syracuse Nationals. Dolly would lead his team to a league title in 1955. The NYU alum would become a Basketball Hall of Famer in 1973.
Today’s Treasure from my collection: Dolph Schayes was the first NBA player to achieve 15,000 points & 10,000 rebounds in his career. How many knew he was NBA Coach of the Year with the 1965-66 Philadelphia 76ers? pic.twitter.com/FcfrwZJ1YE
