Blake O’Brien of Methodist University Named Libero of the Year in USA South Athletic Conference

Methodist University’s women’s volleyball team dominated the All-Conference Teams list, with five Monarchs players making the cut. Blake O’Brien was honored as the Libero of the Year, in addition to being named to the All-Conference second team. Jeanana Fowler, Hannah Hewett, and Jamie Holton were recognized as first teamers, while Savannah Hovander received an honorable mention. Mahala Carter was also recognized for her sportsmanship. O’Brien, a senior, showcased her defensive skills throughout the season, leading the conference in both digs and digs per set. Fowler, Hewett, Holton, and Hovander also made significant contributions to their team’s success.
