Senior Cora Nagle scored the game-winning goal in overtime as the William Smith College field hockey team triumphed over Susquehanna University in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championships. The win advances the Herons to the second round where they will face No. 1 Middlebury. William Smith outshot Susquehanna and had a strong defensive performance, forcing the game into overtime. Nagle’s goal sealed the victory, propelling William Smith to the next round. The Herons will face Middlebury on November 11 at Messiah University.
