Carlos Mendes, the second-year head coach of the USMMA women’s soccer team, has been named the 2023 Skyline Conference Women’s Soccer Coach of the Year. Three players from Mendes’ team, freshman forward Alexx Forman, junior midfielder Natalie Colpoys, and junior defender Jasper Schineller, have earned spots on the All-Skyline First Team. Mendes led the Mariners to an impressive 8-6-3 record and guided them to the Skyline Championship Game in just the program’s second year. Forman, Colpoys, and Schineller were key contributors to the team’s success, showcasing their skills and talent throughout the season.
