Owls Fall to Charlotte in AAC Semifinals
DALLAS – Florida Atlantic men’s soccer saw its season ended on Thursday night with a 3-1 loss to Charlotte in the American Athletic Conference semifinals. After a quiet first half hour from both teams offensively, the 49ers opened the scoring in the 34th minute. Goalkeeper Rotem Fadida and CLT’s Jonathan Nyandjo simultaneously went for a loose ball just outside the six-yard box. Nyandjo went to the ground and after a VAR review, the official awarded Charlotte a spot kick which Nyandjo converted. The Owls tied it early in the second half.
