Volleyball Sweeps Dominican in Return Home

HILO, Hawai’i – It’s the final stretch of the regular season and the Hawai’i Hilo Women’s Volleyball team jump-started its last home stand with a straight-sets victory over Dominican (25-7, 25-21, 25-21) Wednesday evening in Pacific West Conference play at the Vulcan Gymnasium. All 16 available Vulcans players saw action as Samara Cruz led with 12 kills and eight digs. The Vulcans finished with nine service aces as Cruz, Baylee Goeas Galdeira, Emerson Reinke and Tani Hoke each put down a pair of hot serves.
