Martinez spent part of the 2017 season with Arizona after being traded from the Detroit Tigers. He accumulated 29 home runs and 65 RBIs with the Diamondbacks and they could be looking to bring him back after reaching the World Series this past season. He would take over designated hitting duties from Pavin Smith and aim to help Arizona win the NL West for the first time since 2011.
