Thompson Valley volleyball advances to 4A semifinals

The Thompson Valley volleyball team is two wins away from its third straight Class 4A state championship. Friday at the Denver Coliseum, the Eagles held off Cheyenne Mountain, sweeping the Red-Tailed Hawks, 25-19, 29-27, 26-24. As the scores indicate, all three sets were close, especially the last two, which saw the teams go point-for-point at the end until the Eagles were able to score back-to-back points to win each of them.
