Holly Smith Paces Iona WXC at Northeast Regionals

RIVERDALE, NY – Iona University women’s cross country sophomore Holly Smith was the Gaels’ top performer at the 2023 NCAA Northeast Regional Championship at Van Cortlandt Park Friday morning. Smith led the Maroon & Gold to a 15th place team finish. THE RUNDOWN Smith finished the 6k course in 20:28.9, good for 23rd place and All-Region honors. Sophomore Tayla Gunton was the Gaels’ No. 2 finisher, placing 77th with a time of 21:18.8.
