Men Take 3rd at Regionals, Smith & Zavala Punch Tickets to Nationals

Houghton, NY – The Brockport men’s and women’s cross-country teams competed in Houghton, New York for the NCAA Niagara Regionals. The men’s team took home 3rd place, with the women’s team finishing in 14th place. Men’s Team: Jared Smith rose to the occasion, running a personal best time of 24:42.9 to secure 8th place, as well as a spot in NCAA Championships. Jonathan Zavala was close behind, finishing his 8k in 24:45.9 for 9th place overall. Zavala will join Smith at NCAA Championships following excellent performances at Houghton.
