Wolves’ Comeback Attempt Falls Short Against Mars Hill

MARS HILL, N.C. – The Newberry College football team lost to Mars Hill this afternoon 21-14 at Ammons Family Athletic Center & Meares Stadium. Dwayne Wright ran for 132 yards on a season high 24 touches and scoring a touchdown late in the fourth quarter cutting the Lions lead to 21-14. Malik Devine-Brown had six tackles and two TFLs. The Wolves defense locked down in the second half, only allowing the Lions past the 50-yard line in their opening drive.
