JOSEPH, Minn. – After winning her third straight NCAA DIII North Region individual title, senior Fiona Smith of the College of Saint Benedict cross country team has been named the St. Cloud Orthopedic / CSB Athlete of the Week. Smith, who covered the 6K distance in 20:42.2, bettered the field by 25 seconds and led the Bennies, directed by head coach Robin Balder-Lanoue, to a sixth-place finish with 231 points at the NCAA DIII North Region Cross Country Championship.
