Jimbo Fisher fired; Top 5 HC candidates for Texas A&M Aggies
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (BVM) — Jimbo Fisher was named the head football coach at Texas A&M after he left Florida State. He recorded 26 wins in his first three seasons and helped the Aggies become a top-five team in 2020.
Fisher was awarded a contract extension before the 2021 season and helped the Aggies to an 8-4 record. However, he accumulated just 11 wins over the next two years and on Sunday it was reported that the school decided to part ways with him.

Decision was reached at the recommendation of the Athletic Dept/University president during last Thursday's Board of Regents meeting.

The decision to fire him was costly. It was reported that Texas A&M paid $77 million to buy out his contract.
