Three Captains Honored by NJAC Following Conference-Clinching Victory at TCNJ

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – A trio of Christopher Newport University football standouts was honored Monday by the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC). The honors come following a 27-21 victory at the College of New Jersey Friday night that secured CNU’s first-ever NJAC Championship. Sophomore wide receiver/kick returner Trey Hayes was selected the Offensive Player of the Week, fifth-year senior kicker Ryan Castle was named the Special Teams Player of the Week, and freshman defensive back Noah Martin was picked as the Defensive Rookie of the Week.
