Jahkai Bohannon Named CCIW First-Year Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year

The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) has selected Carroll Freshman Defensive Back Jahkai Bohannon as its First-Year Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year. The announcement comes as a part of the 2023 All-Conference team, and is the second consecutive Carroll player to earn the honor after Linebacker Will Campbell earned the distinction last season. Bohannon finished the season with a team-high three interceptions, which is tied for fourth in the CCIW. The Milwaukee, Wis. native also ranks in the top 20 in the league in pass breakups (4).
