Ken Dorsey fired; 5 candidates to replace Buffalo Bills OC
4. Cam Turner
Turner currently serves as the Colts’ quarterback coach and could be in line for a promotion sooner rather than later. Turner mentored rookie Anthony Richardson to a strong first four games prior to a season-ending injury but has kept the boat afloat through his work with backup Gardner Minshew. Indianapolis has improved in the passing attack as well, jumping from 23rd to 18th in the league.
Turner is another coach who doesn’t have any playcalling experience but worked with both Cam Newton and Kyler Murray prior to his time with the Colts. He also has worked on the same staff as Bills head coach Sean McDermott having spent the 2015 and 2016 seasons together with the Carolina Panthers. If Buffalo is impressed enough by the up-and-coming quarterbacks coach, perhaps it will offer him the offensive coordinator position in the offseason.
