Ken Dorsey fired; 5 candidates to replace Buffalo Bills OC
1. Joe Brady
Brady was named the interim offensive coordinator for the Bills for the rest of the season, a show of faith in the coach despite the team having a number of offensive coaches with playcalling experience. He is still quite young for an offensive coordinator at just 34 years old, but Brady has shown success in multiple stops.
As LSU’s passing game coordinator in 2019, Brady earned the Broyles Award, given to college football’s top assistant coach, after quarterback Joe Burrow led the Tigers to an undefeated season and the national title.
Brady then served as offensive coordinator for the Panthers under head coach Matt Rhule from 2020-21 and saw some success in his first season before he was fired near the end of the 2021 season.
Brady has bounced back well in Buffalo, helping Josh Allen finish as an MVP finalist last season in his first year as the team’s quarterbacks coach. If he does well in his interim role, Brady could hold the position for a while as he looks to make his way into a head coach role in the future.
