Texas’ 10 highest-scoring boys basketball players of all time
HOUSTON (BVM) – Here are the 10 highest-scoring Texas high school boys basketball players in history.
The data is courtesy of MaxPreps (source one, source two) via the NFHS record book, state association record books and “Texas High School Basketball” by Bob Springer.
Notably, the highest-scoring high school player in U.S. history is Demond “Tweety” Carter — who capped off his Louisiana high school career with 7,494 points (2000-06).
Texas has produced some of the best high school prospects in the country. Some went on to become college standouts, however, others are now forgotten high school legends.
