Bulls Defeat Akron to Win First MAC East Title

AKRON, Ohio – The University at Buffalo women’s volleyball team (23-7, 13-5 MAC) closed the regular season with a sweep over the Akron Zips (13-16, 8-10 MAC), 25-21, 25-17, 25-21. For the first time in program history, the Bulls were crowned MAC East Co-Champions along with Ohio. For the first time in their Division I history, the Bulls reached 23 wins. The last time they reached this mark came in 1990 when the team finished 28-6. With the win and Ball State (16-13, 13-5 MAC) losing to Toledo (13-16, 11-7 MAC), the Bulls moved to second in the MAC standings.…
