Women’s Cross Country, Women’s Soccer: Perry, Hederman Earn Fall GSC Champions Scholar Awards

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference announced that Mississippi College’s Avery Hederman and Caroline Perry were named the 2023 GSC Championship Scholar-Athlete for soccer and women’s cross country. Hederman, a Jackson, Mississippi native, received the GSC Champion Scholar-Athlete Award for maintaining a 4.00 GPA while majoring in accounting with a minor in english. She is the fourth women’s soccer player from the Choctaws to achieve the award, including her sister, Erin, who won the award in 2022.
