Hornets make a bee line to Prep Bowl by upsetting Eden Prairie 28-7

On Nov. 17 in downtown Minneapolis, Black Friday arrived early for the No. 1-ranked Eden Prairie High football team. The Eagles (11-0) were perhaps as much as a two-touchdown favorite over Edina (8-3), but at the end of the night Hornet fans were buzzing over a 28-7 victory that advanced them to play in the state Class 6A Prep Bowl Friday, Nov. 24, back at U.S. Bank Stadium. The opponent for Friday night’s 7:30 kick-off is Centennial (11-1), a winner over Lakeville South 20-13 in the other Class 6A semifinal.
