Volleyball Falls to UMBC in America East Final

BALTIMORE, Md. (BUBearcats.com) – The Binghamton University volleyball team (15-13, 7-5) fell 3-0 to UMBC in the America East Championship Final Saturday night inside Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena. Tsvetelina Ilieva and Anna Sprys were named to the conference’s All-Championship Team for their performance in the postseason tournament. Ilieva totalled 25 kills and 20 digs in two matches for the Bearcats while Sprys registered 18 kills, 10 blocks and a .303 hitting percentage in her final two matches for BU. Ilieva also earned the America East Elite Eight as the player in the championship tournament with the highest GPA at 3.98.…
