Heldt & Russell named to MIAA Volleyball All-Tournament Team

JOSEPH, Mo. — The MIAA announced the conference championships All-Tournament Team this Sunday, naming Missouri Western freshmen Holly Heldt and Taylor Russell as some of the best players in the bracket. HOLLY HELDT Heldt, an outside hitter from Hermann, Missouri, went off for double-doubles in both of Missouri Western’s matches in the MIAA Tournament. Leading the Griffons with 359 kills this season, Heldt hammered home a career-high 20 in a 3-1 quarterfinal win over Washburn on Thursday night at the St. Joseph Civic Arena.
