Byram Hills’ historic run ends in state semifinals against Williamsville South, marking the team’s first-ever appearance at Glens Falls for the NYSPHSAA Final Four. The Bobcats fell to Williamsville South in four sets, 25-23, 23-25, 18-25, 20-25, but coach Jared Christian is proud of the team’s accomplishments. Despite the loss, the Bobcats are the program’s first sectional and regional title-winners, and have set a new standard for future success. Nikolet Vataj had 17 kills, 10 digs, an ace and a block, while Maya Licznerski added 12 kills, three aces, and four digs. The Bobcats conclude the season with a 21-4 record.
