Killers Golf UTRGV Student-Athlete of the Week: Claudia Lupescu

RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Monday that junior Claudia Lupescu, of the volleyball team, is the Killers Golf UTRGV Student-Athlete of the Week. Lupescu helped the Vaqueros reach the semifinals of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament by recording 34 total kills, 23 digs, and four blocks. In the first round matchup, Lupescu tied a career-high with 23 kills and added nine digs to help UTRGV to a thrilling five-set win over Tarleton State.
