
Burrowes earns TSWA player of the week honors
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tusculum University women’s volleyball graduate student Emiah Burrowes earned her first career Player of the Week honor from the Tennessee Sports Writers Association on Tuesday (Nov. 21). The Pioneers won the program’s first South Atlantic Conference Tournament championship as Burrowes was named the most valuable player. This is Tusculum’s first TSWA honoree since Cassie Born in 2017. Burrowes, an outside hitter from Wesley Chapel, North Carolina, averaged 4.42 kills, 3.17 digs and 4.79 points per set as she collected 53 total kills, 38 digs and had three blocks, ending the SAC tournament with a .219 attack percentage.…
