Monday’s prep highlights: Schilb, Peat spark Centennial in win
Centennial 67, Mahomet-Seymour 43. The visiting Chargers started strong and didn’t let up in the season opener for both teams as the tournament game was played in Mahomet. Jadin Schilb and Kayden Peat each scored 17 points to tie for top scoring honors for Centennial (1-0) as the Chargers went into halftime ahead 35-16. Demariea Willis (10 points), Todd Makabu (eight points) and Voldy Makabu (seven points) also supported the output by Centennial. Luke Dyer scored a team-high 10 points for the Bulldogs (0-1), with Finn Randolph (eight points) and Miles Woolsey (six points) also chipping in.
