Benedictine College Prep’s Christopher Brewer rides to national stage
RICHMOND, Va. — Brothers Christopher, Frank and George Brewer have several things in common including a stellar academic record, a love for cycling and the same mountain biking coach–their Dad, Matt Brewer.
George and Frankie are both current students at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Henrico County. The eldest of the Brewer boys, Christopher, graduated from St. Mary’s in 2022 and is currently a sophomore at Benedictine College Prep in nearby Goochland County.
In addition to being a stand-out Cadet, Christopher is a state and nationally ranked varsity mountain biker. He’s raced in Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and
at the USA Cycling MTB Nationals.
Christopher now ranks in the top 10 in Virginia as a varsity rider and ranked second in the state in the spring as a freshman.
In the top 100 nationally for cross-country and short-track cross-country as a category 1 racer, Christopher also competed in National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) regionals this month in Maryland where he finished 28th competing against riders from 11 states along the east coast!
