Anchor Bay’s Thomas Westphal wins regional cross country race in Wisconsin

Thomas Westphal of Anchor Bay and Rachel Forsyth of Ann Arbor Pioneer won Foot Locker Midwest Regional cross country championships in Wisconsin on Saturday. Westphal ran the 5,000-meter course at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in 14:59.18. Connell Alford of Cheslea finished second in 15:01.30 and Cameron Todd of Indianapolis third in 15:03.97. Forsyth won in 16:57.76. Addison Knoblauch of Fort Wayne, Ind., was second in 17:23.98 and Libby Dowty of Morgantown, Ind., was third in 17:30.73.
