5. Chris Creighton

Creighton is one of a couple of Mid-American Conference coaches on this list and has been very successful during his time at Eastern Michigan. The 54-year-old got his head-coaching start over 25 years ago at the NAIA level and later spent time in the Hoosier State at Division III Wabash College. Following a stop at Drake, Creighton joined Eastern Michigan in 2013 and has led the Eagles to five bowl games in the last seven years. Creighton’s best season came in 2022 as Eastern Michigan went 9-4 and won the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Between Creighton’s experience and his previous ties to the state, it’s likely the Hoosiers will give him a look.
