Kayla Barbosa Earns United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-North Region Honors

Kansas City, MO – Senior defender Kayla Barbosa of the Wagner women’s soccer team was named Third Team All-North Region by United Soccer Coaches, the organization announced Tuesday. Barbosa is the first athlete in Wagner history to earn the all-region distinction as she joins CCSU’s Giavanna Inzerillo (second team) and Aoife Horgan (third team) as the lone Northeast Conference (NEC) recipients. The Hackettstown, NJ, was named First Team All-NEC after making starts in all 19 games she played in. She scored a career-high ten points on four goals and two assists.
