Rocha Lands Spot On D2CCA All-Region First Team

For the first time in a dozen years, Ashland University’s men’s soccer team has a first-team Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Midwest Region performer. As announced by the D2CCA on Tuesday (Nov. 28) morning, Eagle senior midfielder Vander Rocha is Ashland men’s soccer’s first all-region first-teamer since Kenny Hewitt in 2011. Rocha, also a first-team All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference honoree this fall, turned in one of the program’s best offensive seasons in 2023 – finishing with team-highs in goals (11), points (27) and game-winning goals (two, tied).
