Whitener, Castoe earn United Soccer Coaches All-Region honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Liesl Whitener and Janey Castoe of Augustana women’s soccer have been named to the 2023 United Soccer Coaches All-Region teams, the organization announced Tuesday morning. Whitener, a Second Team All-CCIW selection, earned Second Team All-Region honors this season after leading the team in goals with 12. The senior ranked fourth in the league in goals and was second in game-winning tallies with six. She has accounted for 60 percent of the team’s scores this season.
