BOONE — Watauga High School hosted a cheerleading showcase, bringing in local tumblers from as young as 4 years old all the way to collegiate students bound for national competitions. The showcase drew a few hundred spectators, who piled inside Lentz-Eggers Gymnasium to watch youths from Mountain Elite All-Star Cheer & Tumbling, Pioneer Pacers and cheer teams, and finally, Appalachian State Mountaineer cheer and dance teams.
