Leah Jones named AVCA Central Region Freshman of the Year

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Southwest Minnesota State University outside hitter Leah Jones has been named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Central Region Freshman of the Year the organization announced on Wednesday. Jones, a 6-foot-2, native of Marshall, Minn., is the seventh Mustang to earn the award and the first since Taylor Reiss in 2015. Jones earlier this month was named All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference first team and the NSIC Freshman of the Year.
