Guarino Sets School Record in Day 1 of ECACs

East Meadow, N.Y.- The Hunter College women’s swimming team competed in day one of the Eastern College Athletic Conference Winter Championship on Friday. Kiana Guarino started the meet out strong for the Hawks setting a new school record in the 200-IM. Guarino broke her previous record of 2:13.62, clocking in at 2:13.42 to place 19th overall in the 200-meter individual medley. Freshman, Parvinabonu Makhmadalieva, also raced the 200m IM as she crossed the finish line in 2:32.21 Kateryna Titarenko rounded out Hunter’s swimmers for the day, as she competed in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.71.
