Mobile Christian beats defending 3A champ St. James
The Mobile Christian Leopards are one win away from the school’s first football state championship after a dramatic 34-30 home win over St. James Friday night at Lamar Harrison Stadium. The same two teams played on the same field in last year’s Class 3A semifinals, with the Trojans earning a win on their way to the state title. This time, Mobile Christian used a big-play offense and an opportunistic defense to knock off the defending champions.
