Jordan McCloud transferring; 5 landing spots for Sun Belt POTY
HARRISONBURG, Va. (BVM) – A lot of big-name quarterbacks continue to enter the college football transfer portal but one under-the-radar signal caller available this offseason will be Jordan McCloud.
McCloud recently announced his intention to transfer from James Madison after helping the Dukes to an 11-1 record this season in which they were a top-25 team for much of the year. James Madison is set to take on Air Force in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl on Dec. 23, a game which McCloud will reportedly still play in.

The 6-foot senior quarterback will look to put a bow on what has been an incredible season with the Dukes in which he has thrown for 3,413 yards, 32 touchdowns and nine interceptions while completing 68.9% of his passes. McCloud has also ran for 311 yards this season and was named the 2023 Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year.

The breakout season comes after McCloud spent his first two seasons of college football as a starter at South Florida before joining Arizona where he saw the field in just three games back in 2021.
After what McCloud accomplished this season at James Madison, a return to the Power 5 level seems likely as the talented quarterback concludes his collegiate career. Here are five teams McCloud could play for in 2024.
