Martinsburg champs again; Fairmont Sr. takes AA in thriller; Williamstown repeats

WHEELING, W.Va. — Martinsburg started slow, but it scored four times in seven plays during a 28-point second quarter to roll to a 57-13 rout of Princeton in the Class AAA championship game on Saturday at Wheeling Island Stadium. The Bulldogs finish 13-0 in Dave Walker’s first season after returning to the high school ranks following a stint at Concord University. With the nine-time state champion Walker on the sidelines, Martinsburg has won 70 straight games.
