Kyle McCord enters transfer portal; 5 landing spots for QB
COLUMBUS, Ohio (BVM) – After the Ohio State Buckeyes missed out on the Big Ten championship once again, they will be led by a different signal caller next season. Buckeyes starting quarterback Kyle McCord announced his entrance into the transfer portal Tuesday.

The former five-star signal caller had a solid campaign in his first season as Ohio State’s full-time starter. McCord threw for 3,170 yards, 24 touchdowns and six interceptions while going 11-1 during the 2023 season. While McCord played well throughout the season, he struggled in Ohio State’s game against Michigan, throwing for 271 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
While McCord may not have been able to live up to the sky-high expectations in Columbus, that doesn’t mean he cannot land on his feet elsewhere. With that in mind, here are five potential landing spots for the quarterback.
