Meoni Adds to Honors, Named AVCA All-America

LEXINGTON, Ky. — On Wednesday afternoon, the American Volleyball Coaches Association selected its Division II All-American Teams. Following the best Division II season in program history, Alessandra Meoni was selected as just the second Hardrocker volleyball player in the Division II era to be named an all-american, being selected to the AVCA Division II All-America team as an honorable mention. Meoni, a junior right side/opposite, originally hails from Padova, Italy, before moving to Friendswood High School in Texas and coming to the Hardrockers via Western Nebraska Community College was phenomenal in her first season with South Dakota Mines.
