Top 10 Kentucky boys basketball players in the Class of 2024
4. Kade Unseld, F, Warren Central
Unseld returns after an accolade-filled junior season. He averaged 16.1 points and 7.4 rebounds while shooting 55.1% from the field and 45.4% from deep for a 36-1 Dragons squad that won the Kentucky High School Athletics Association Sweet 16 state championship. For his efforts, Unseld was named first-team all-state by both the Courier-Journal and Lexington Herald-Leader and also earned KHSAA Sweet 16 all-tournament team honors.
The 6-foot-5 forward is unanimously considered one of the top five players in the state, ranking fourth by both 247 Sports and Prep Hoops. Unseld held 12 D-I offers from programs like Akron, Arkansas State, Ball State, Kennesaw State, Miami-Ohio, Murray State and Ohio, but he ultimately decided to stay in his hometown, signing with Western Kentucky on Nov. 8.
