Jordan Waters enters transfer portal; 5 landing spots for RB
4. Texas A&M
Waters’ head coach at Duke for the past three seasons, Mike Elko, was hired by Texas A&M late last month, making it possible for the band to get back together in College Station. That would likely include quarterback Riley Leonard, and perhaps Waters and his former backfield teammate, Jaquez Moore. However, unlike other teams on this list, the Aggies don’t necessarily have a huge hole at running back currently as they used a trio of talented rushers this past season that included Amari Daniels, Le’Veon Moss and freshman Rueben Owens. That could make for a crowded backfield in 2024 should Waters head to the SEC, but he would likely find immediate playing time under Elko and his former running backs coach Trooper Taylor.
